Coaching for Women
COACHING BACKGROUND: While Michelle has certification in Women's Life Coaching and Women's Retreat Facilitation, executive leadership experience in human resources, and many evidenced-based mental health program certifications, it is her experience with 200+ clients as well as her connection to her own intuition that guides and supports her in her role as a coach and retreat leader. Michelle has led over 140 women's gatherings and directs several women's retreats each year, including the Midsouth Women's Herbal Conference. References, education and background, and other information can be provided upon request.
"It is difficult for a woman to be healthy in a culture that is still so very sick."
Regardless of what brings us together- life transitions, loss, wellness issues, grief, anxiety, boredom with life, fear, or an occupational identity crisis- my first intention as your coach is almost always the same. In my coaching practice, I focus on guiding women through the process of tuning into their own wisdom and intuition, reconnecting with their truest self, and remembering who they are at their core. This is a critical part of the journey, regardless of the goal. Once we remember and reconnect with our selves, solutions and guidance sometimes show up in unexpected and synchronistic ways. Other times, the process clears a path for us that wasn't there before and we find that we are in a better place to make clear, brave, and discerning choices.
Multi-session packages and equity pricing available.
I offer many women's ceremonies throughout the year and those can be found on the Gatherings & Retreats tab. However, I also create and lead custom ceremonies for women and other women's groups. A sample of these offerings include:
Ceremony & Circle Facilitation Training
Home or Space Blessings
Releasing Ceremonies for Self-Forgiveness, Grief, Life Transitions, and Loss
Celebratory Ceremonies for birthdays, holidays and rites of passage
Ceremonies start at $200. Final cost is determined by a variety of factors. Please contact me for more information and options.
When I share my personal solo retreat stories, women always ask if I plan these for other women. Over the years, I have fine tuned the art of a restorative and soulful private retreat. If you are looking for a custom retreat experience tailored to your path, values, preferences and current situation, I offer and lead private retreats. Custom retreats last 2-5 nights and include a blend of ceremony, guided writing and meditation, in person coaching, time in solitude and other forms of self care and nourishment. Private retreats include time with me, and time alone with your self. Private retreats are perfect for women going through major life changes or who want to take time to reconnect with their truest and wisest self.
Private Retreats start at $1200. Lodging, meals, and optional add on activities are not reflected in this amount. Discounts are available for mental health professionals, BIPOC, and veterans.
Solo retreats are beautiful...and messy...and healing...and sometimes painful. When we take time to be alone with ourselves for hours or days without interruptions, a lot can bubble up. On one hand, that's why we go! On the other hand, it can be uncomfortable. Restlessness, boredom, fear, and anxiety are all guests that could show up at your retreat. And you thought you'd be alone!? If we aren't prepared, it's easy to resort to old habits...grabbing the cell phone, turning on a TV, or even leaving the retreat space to "find something to do". If you are thinking about taking your first solo retreat and want a little guidance in how to structure your time away, I would love to help! There is surely an art to retreat planning and after years of both solo retreating and leading others in retreating, I have some valuable insights

Imagine a Woman
Imagine a woman who believes it is right and good she is a woman.
A woman who honors her experience and tells her stories.
Who refuses to carry the sins of others within her body and life.
Imagine a woman who trusts and respects herself.
A woman who listens to her needs and desires.
Who meets them with tenderness and grace.
Imagine a woman who acknowledges the past’s influence on the present.
A woman who has walked through her past.
Who has healed into the present.
Imagine a woman who authors her own life.
A woman who exerts, initiates, and moves on her own behalf.
Who refuses to surrender except to her truest self and wisest voice.
Imagine a woman who names her own gods.
A woman who imagines the divine in her image and likeness.
Who designs a personal spirituality to inform her daily life.
Imagine a woman in love with her own body.
A woman who believes her body is enough, just as it is.
Who celebrates its rhythms and cycles as an exquisite resource.
Imagine a woman who honors the body of the Goddess in her changing body.
A woman who celebrates the accumulation of her years and her wisdom.
Who refuses to use her life-energy disguising the changes in her body and life.
Imagine a woman who values the women in her life.
A woman who sits in circles of women.
Who is reminded of the truth about herself when she forgets.
Imagine yourself as this woman.
